Girasol Quartz
also called Moon Quartz or Pearl Quartz — is one of the most subtly magnificent members of the quartz family. It is a milky, opalescent variety of quartz with a characteristic soft inner glow: when light passes through it, the stone seems to bloom from within, like a pearl lit from the inside, or a moonrise seen through thin cloud.
In Spanish, girasol means sunflower, 'that which turns toward the sun' — this sense of gentle, persistent orientation towards the light is the most accurate description of what this stone does for its keeper.
